Position OverviewThe Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of large-scale industrial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. This role leads on-site execution, coordinates multidisciplinary contractors, and ensures compliance with regulatory, engineering, and organizational requirements.Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & ExecutionLead day-to-day construction activities from site preparation through commissioning support.Develop and manage detailed construction schedules, resource plans, and work sequences.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operational teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment.Anticipate and resolve construction-related challenges to prevent delays.2. Contractor & Stakeholder ManagementManage and supervise general contractors, subcontractors, and site service providers.Conduct regular site coordination meetings, progress reviews, and contractor performance evaluations.Ensure all construction activities adhere to contractual obligations and specifications.3. Safety, Quality & ComplianceEnforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.Implement quality control procedures and conduct inspections to ensure work meets design and regulatory requirements.Review method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work processes.4. Budget & ReportingMonitor construction costs, track progress against budget, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Manage change orders, claims, and variations in accordance with company procedures.Prepare and present detailed progress reports to project leadership and management.5. Technical & Engineering SupportCollaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.Validate construction methods, shop drawings, and material specifications.Support commissioning, handover documentation, and as-built records.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 8–12 years of experience in large-scale industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering drawings, and project management practices.Proven experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in project management and construction tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).Strong understanding of HSE standards and local regulatory requirements.Preferred QualificationsExperience with advanced manufacturing, industrial facilities, or high-technology construction environments.Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent.Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional project environments.
