Job OverviewThe Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing daily production operations during assigned shifts to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency targets are achieved. This role involves leading and coordinating a team of 5–10 operators/technicians, ensuring smooth production flow, resolving technical and operational issues, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, and coordinate production activities during the assigned shift.Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are achieved in line with planning.Manage and motivate a team of 5–10 employees, including task allocation and performance monitoring.Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and manpower utilization.Perform first-level troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues.Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Process teams to resolve operational problems.Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.Conduct shift handover meetings and prepare shift reports.Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).Enforce discipline, SOP compliance, and good housekeeping within the production area.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related fields).Minimum 5–8 years of experience in engineering operations, manufacturing, or technical environments.Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, systems, and production processes.Proven experience in leading and supervising operational teams.Willingness to work in rotating shifts and under operational pressure.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, for reporting, coordination, and cross-functional communication.
