The Opportunity:
We are looking to build a network of talented and reliable freelance Illustrators for long-term, retainer-based partnerships. We are seeking independent creatives who are skilled illustrators, capable of transforming our in-depth research and creative briefs into Ribbit.FYI's signature illustrated content (comics, infographics). This is a remote, project-based role perfect for a professional who thrives on delivering high-quality, polished work from a clear brief.
What You'll Do:
Execute on creative briefs for both editorial and sponsored content, delivering complete, ready-to-publish assets.Design and illustrate compelling comics, infographics, and data stories that are visually engaging and narratively strong.Ensure all work meticulously adheres to RFYI's distinct tone and visual style based on provided brand guidelines.Deliver high-quality, polished assets on schedule, managing your own time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Turn ideas into clear visuals: Able to translate complex topics, concepts, or data into simple visuals such as diagrams, charts, or illustrations that help explain the story.Design for readability: Able to organise text and visuals clearly so the content is easy to read and engaging on social media.Illustrate thoughtfully: Understands that visual choices affect meaning, and can approach social topics with care and sensitivity.
Essential Creative Skills (The "Hands"):
Data Storytelling: Proficiency in visualising key concepts and data, translating research into comics and infographics.Illustration: A strong portfolio demonstrating a distinct illustrative style and a keen understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and color.Software: Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop is essential.
