Position OverviewAs a key member of the Project Team, the Project Manager will oversee the implementation and its improvement of selected projects in the Rimba Collective project portfolio, as well as their validation under the Climate, Community, Biodiversity Standard (CCBS) and other high quality internationally recognized standards. The Project Manager will also support the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations and processes of the Project Department and the improvement in project implementation. She/he will report to Rimba Collective Implementation Project Manager and is expected to attend regular in-person meetings in Bali and potentially Jakarta. Occasional travel to projects and to LC office will be required.
Position ResponsibilitiesServe as key member of Project TeamContribute to the development of innovative approaches to deliver ecosystem services outcomes to clientsCoordinate within the Project Department and with other Departments of Lestari Capital to ensure timely project delivery under the business linesContribute to communications regarding Rimba Collective projects to relevant stakeholdersServe as a representative of Lestari Capital to local authorities and partners, as needed
Project ImplementationManage Project Operators in implementing activities, ensuring Project Operators achieve their key performance indicators set in the project design according to the company’s standards to deliver high quality impactsProvide technical assistance and guidance to Project OperatorsSupport Project Operators in preparing and submitting the documentation required by CCBS and/or similar standardsIdentify, monitor and support Project Operators’ risks and their mitigationServe as point-person for Project OperatorsFoster relationships with Project Operators and partners organizations through formal and informal communication channelsContribute to process development and improvement for project implementation
Project Monitoring Lead all monitoring processes to ensure Project Operators achieve key performance indicatorsEnsure robust and integrated data collection and information management system to prepare high quality data and reportSupport Project Operators in the preparation, submission, review and approval of project reporting
Capacity Building Identify the needs for capacity building for project operators for sound project implementationCoordinate with relevant teams to provide technical assistance needed to achieve project key performance indicatorsSupport the development and planning of high-quality training and other capacity building activities to enhance organizational capacity of the Project Operators
RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in forestry, ecology, agronomy, environmental studies, geography, or other relevant fieldAt least 5 years of working experience in Indonesia; strong preference for experience in forestry, environmental conservation, and/or agricultural sectors across Indonesia.Experience with project design and management, excellent communication skills across sectors, good network across the country in the relevant fieldTechnical knowledge and skills in GIS Applications; the latter is highly desirableGood computer skills in the main software programs (Excel, Word, Power Point Access, etc.)Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bahasa Indonesia
