Role DescriptionThe Procurement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for MEP and Data Center construction projects. This role works closely with engineering, project control, and site teams to align procurement activities with project schedules, technical requirements, and company procedures. The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in supporting smooth project execution by preventing material shortages and delivery delays.
ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end procurement activities for MEP materials, equipment, manpower and services in line with project requirementsSource, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing, quality, and delivery termsPrepare and issue RFQs, sevaluate quotations, and recommend vendor selection in coordination with engineering and project teams.Ensure purchased materials and equipment comply with approved technical specifications, drawings, and submittals.Coordinate closely with engineering, project control, and site teams to align procurement activities with project schedules.Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure accuracy of commercial and technical terms.Monitor delivery schedules, expediting items as required to avoid project delays.Maintain procurement documentation including vendor evaluations, PO records, delivery tracking, and compliance documents.Resolve procurement-related issues such as delivery delays, quantity discrepancies, or quality concerns.Support inventory control and material management processes.Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for service suppliers, sub-contractors and monitor their performance against these metrics.Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and continuously assess vendor performance.Negotiate contracts and service agreements with suppliers/sub-contractors to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement roles within construction, MEP, or industrial projects.Proven experience in MEP or Data Center projects is highly preferred.Solid understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract basics.Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
